Future Projects
One of SEC-Affordable Housing's goals is to have very-low income housing projects in each of the Tri-Cities. The Tri-Cities Terrace Campus fulfills that goal for the city of Richland. Developing the Edison Terrace campus will satisfy that goal in the city of Kennewick. That puts a project in the city of Pasco very high on the priorities for future development by SEC Affordable Housing.
A key ingredient to initiating such a project is acquiring an appropriate and affordable parcel of land (2 acres minimum). To compete favorably for funding from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development this land must have access to basic utility services (water, sewer, electricity, refuse removal, telephone), and be near public transportation, grocery and retail shopping, banking, and health services. Assistance in finding such a parcel will greatly help SEC Affordable Housing fulfill its goal.
